GYROSCOPIC RADIOSURGERY™ PLATFORM
FOR THE BRAIN
Leveraging unique gyroscopic motion, the ZAP-X® platform opens new frontiers in modern radiosurgery. Combining self-shielding technology with high dose rate linear-accelerator delivery, ZAP-X was created to safely treat more patients in more places.
As the first-in-kind “vault-free” radiosurgery system, ZAP-X obviates the need for costly and complex radiation bunkers. Enabling simple department expansions, ZAP-X now also makes radiosurgery feasible for point of care delivery at virtually any location—including satellite facilities, physician offices and ambulatory surgery centers.
Using state-of-the-art linear accelerator (LINAC) technology, ZAP-X uniquely provides diverse non-coplanar radiation dose delivery while eliminating the need for live radioactive sources. No more costly source replacements, and no more ongoing regulatory and security burden.
With the high dose requirements of radiosurgery, error prevention and patient safety cannot be overstated. With that understanding, ZAP-X provides a novel, fully-integrated dosimetry validation system that monitors and verifies delivered radiation in real time.
Blending significantly lower system, facility and operating expenses with well-established reimbursement, ZAP-X removes historical cost and complexity constraints to now put world-class radiosurgery within reach of more providers, and more patients.
ZAP-X is what’s next in non-invasive cancer treatment. It enables neurosurgeons and radiation oncologists to change precision radiation for the better. Designed exclusively for the streamlined treatment of brain tumors and conditions of the head and neck, ZAP-X redefines the future of radiosurgery.
